Fiberoptic Components awarded contract: commences Lean Manufacturing initiative

Sterling, MA: Fiberoptic Components, LLC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $43,000 contract from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund. This contract provides for Fiberoptic Components to implement a continuous improvement LEAN manufacturing initiative that is expected to yield great results for the Company. Peter A. Hunter, Chairman of Fiberoptic Components indicated that "Fiberoptic Components is pleased to accept this award from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and we intend to utilize these funds to enable our great company to become greater." Through a number of training initiatives, Fiberoptic Components expects to have it LEAN initiative completed in early to mid 2007 with a continuous improvement program that will enable the Company to reduce cycle times and lead times.
